Accommodations
We have negotiated a special conference rate of $265.00 (CAD) single/double per night for reservations made before April 28, 2008. All rates are subject to state and city taxes. Reservations can be made by calling the Hyatt Regency Vancouver at 1-800-233-1234 or 604-683-1234, or fax to 604-639-4829. Reservations are first come, first served. Note: You must make your own hotel reservations.
Parking
The Hyatt Regency Vancouver offers valet parking to all hotel guests and conference attendees. Please contact the hotel for current valet parking rates.
Car Rental
The Council of Science Editors has selected Avis as the official car rental company for the 51st Annual Meeting. Avis has given CSE a discount rate good for one week both before and after the meeting. Membership in the Council of Science Editors
Dues for 2008 are just $164 for members anywhere in the world, which includes discounted registration fees for annual meetings, mid-year workshops, and retreats; the CSE journal, Science Editor; a 20% discount on publications; and online access to the CSE membership directory. The worldwide student membership rate is $43. Transportation to and from the Airport
The Airporter is the shuttle service available at an approximate cost of $12 (CAD) one-way or $18 (CAD) round-trip fare. Pick up at the airport is located in the arrivals area of the Vancouver airport — look for the bright green bus. If you wish to take a taxi from the airport, the cost is approximately $30 (CAD) — for up to 4 passengers. Travel time via taxi is about 30 minutes.
