UBC Museum of Anthropology (Saturday and Tuesday, 1:30 - 3:00 pm). Meet in hotel lobby at 12:45 pm. Depart hotel at 1:00 pm.
The Museum of Anthropology houses one of the world's finest displays of the Northwest Coast First Nations art in a spectacular building overlooking the mountains and sea. It is famous for its collections from around the world, including European ceramics, Asian textiles, Greek and Roman pottery, and African masks. A guided tour will be provided and endless opportunities to discover, reflect, teach, and learn await you.
UBC Botanical Garden (Saturday and Tuesday, 3:30 - 5:00 pm). Meet in hotel lobby at 2:45 pm. Depart hotel at 3:00 pm.
As a visitor to the UBC Botanical Garden, you can expect a learning experience rich with interesting plants and informative signs. Vancouver's maritime climate allows plants to be of interest throughout the year, with some plants flowering in December and January. However, for the most impressive floral displays, the months of April and May are particularly good, featuring magnolias, rhododendrons, and spring ephemerals.
