Happy Holidays from CSE!
Without a doubt, 2015 has been a busy year. The CSE Board has done some serious thinking and planning for the future of our organization. With the heavy lifting already started, we are fully in the swing of putting those ideas into action.
One improvement to your CSE is in how we communicate with you. The monthly newsletters keep you up-to-date on what we are doing. The 2015 Annual Report showed you what we have accomplished. The list-serve connects you with other members and has really turned into a wonderful problem solving forum.
This coming year brings new opportunities for CSE. Changes to Science Editor and collaborations with other organizations promise to expand the impact CSE has on the field of scholarly publishing.
CSE will also continue the international outreach. We successfully facilitated a short course last month in Brazil at the annual workshop of Associação Brasileira de Editores Científicos (ABEC-Brasil). We will follow this up by participating in a panel on resources for editors at the ISMTE Asian Conference being held in Singapore in April. These meetings give us an opportunity to showcase all of what CSE has to offer to our international community.
So as we wrap up a busy year and make plans for the coming year, I want to thank you for coming along on this ride with us. Our success depends on you and we hope that we also play a small role in your success.
