How did I kick off August? The same way I do every year (talking about scholarly publishing). In 2018 that meant attending, and seeing some of you, at the ISMTE North American Conference in Baltimore, MD. Many thanks to Jasmine Wallace, Julie Vo, Glenn Landis, Shari Leventhal, and Alison O’Connell for manning the CSE booth! I was also pleased to speak at the meeting in a panel on professional development, which included Dana Compton, CSE President-Elect.
