Sharon Chua is the Associate Managing Editor for the journals of the American Society of Radiation Oncology. Prior to joining ASTRO, she was a production team manager for the Institute of Physics Publishing. Sharon managed the production team of the journals of the American Astronomical Society, and worked on the launch of a hybrid OA journal for the institute. She is experienced in journal workflow process improvement, supplier management, and systems migrations.

A seasoned professional with over 25 years’ experience in the biomedical publishing field, Judy recently left DIA after 5 years during which time she retired a journal, launched a new journal, redesigned the association news magazine and developed what she refers to as a “continuum of content” which enabled the association’s publications, website, marketing outreach and educational platform to work together to create, curate and disseminate critical health care knowledge to a diverse stakeholder group.
Judy recently returned to publishing consulting work with her own business, Do It Write Editorial, LLC, offering a broad range of publishing and editorial services across the healthcare, financial, and travel/tourism industries.
Alice Ellingham, Director, Editorial Office Ltd.
Alice Ellingham is a co-founder of Editorial Office Ltd, a company which provides peer review services to over a dozen academic publishers in the UK, Europe, USA and Australasia, including PLOS, the Microbiology Society and eLife. She has an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of peer review and specialises in auditing and streamlining journal workflows. Alice is a member of COPE, ALPSP and was a founding member of ISMTE.
Heather Goodell, Vice President, Scientific Publishing, American Heart Association
Heather Goodell is the Vice President of Scientific Publishing for the American Heart Association. She oversees a program 12 peer-reviewed scientific journals as well as statements and guidelines. She has worked at the AHA for over 13 years, with past careers at Pearson Education and others.
