Dana Compton, Editorial Director, American Society of Civil Engineers
Dana Compton is Editorial Director at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), with responsibility for its journals and books publishing programs. She is also currently serving as CSE President for the 2019-2020 year. Prior to joining ASCE in 2018, Dana was a Senior Consulting Associate with KWF Consulting, working with society and other clients to develop strategies around scholarly content; served as Publication Director at PNAS; and held production positions at the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Thompson Publishing Group.
Jennifer Regala, Managing Editor, The Plant Cell and Plant Physiology, American Society of Plant Biologists
Jennifer Regala is the Managing Editor for The Plant Cell and Plant Physiology at the American Society of Plant Biologists in Rockville, MD. After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park, she spent time working at a Washington, DC-based trade association. She then began her STM career at Cadmus Journal Services in Linthicum, MD, working on multiple society journal titles. She spent some time as a freelance STM copyeditor before landing at Sheridan Journal Services, first as a Production Specialist, then a Senior Production Specialist, and finally a Publishing Services Group Leader. After a brief career detour in real estate management with Coldwell Banker Residential Services, Jennifer is back where she belongs – in the STM world as the Managing Editor at ASPB.

Karen Stanwood is Director, Electronic Publishing and Production, Health Care Books and Journals at SLACK Incorporated. Karen has been at SLACK for 24 years, beginning as an Assistant Editor and most recently holding the position of Editorial Director. Her current role focuses on troubleshooting and fine tuning production workflows, managing technical implementation for vendor/partner content and metadata distribution, overseeing peer review system implementation, and writing and instituting internal standard operating procedures.
