#CSESymposium24 The Fall Virtual Symposium is a two-day event hosted annually by CSE for scholarly publishing professionals of all experience levels. These virtual gatherings offer the opportunity to hear from thought leaders about industry trends, network with colleagues, and spark inspiration that can inform the activities at your own organization. This year’s CSE Virtual Fall Symposium, “Equity in Research Publication: Keeping Humans Front and Center,” is your ticket to ride along with us as we collectively reflect back on core issues, engage with peers & industry experts, energize ourselves & our teams, and put into motion tested practical solutions to the major burning issues shaping our industry. Join us on November 19th (Tuesday) and 20th (Wednesday), from the comfort of your location, as we dive deep into 4 key topics of contention this year in individual extended discussions with seasoned moderators & renowned subject specialists. Don’t forget to indulge in your community resource guide after these sessions to take your newly found practice to the next theory! Many of the hottest current debates in publishing may seem complicated, unconnected to direct day-to-day journal management or perhaps a “luxury item” for appropriately resourced publications to contemplate. The purpose of this meeting, however, is to strip back the complexity, ensure a firm grounding, relate the conversation to journals of all types and provide guidance to power an attendee's own policy development or have an informed conversation with editors, a society journal owner or staff at a publishing house.
