DEIA Scholarly Resources

Welcome to CSE’s webpage of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) scholarly resources. DEIA best practices are important to promote equitable actions that advance diversity in various disciplines. This includes but is not limited to racial and ethnic diversity, institutional diversity, sex and gender diversity, disability and accessibility diversity, geographic diversity, and linguistic and cultural diversity. CSE is committed to providing its members with resources that can assist journals at various stages of implementing and cultivating DEIA-centered efforts.

CSE is pleased to provide DEIA resources in the seven categories linked here in one location as an aid for editors and scholarly publishing professionals. However, the content listed on this page is by no means a comprehensive list of resources on this important issue, nor does inclusion on this page imply endorsement by the Council of Science Editors. The categories are broad, and information may overlap more than one category. In addition, an archive page has been created to track previously included resources, some of which include out-of-date resources and dead links. We invite visitors to explore content in any of these categories and to consider submitting resources for inclusion.

You may submit a request here to include resources for consideration in any category.
